Glass Fibre Articulated Pipes

Our FRP Articulated Pipe (also known as split tube) offers limited flexibility protection for submarine cables and flexible lines. It spans small overhangs and conforms to shallow water, splash zones, and rocky seabeds. Where the seabed is too hard for burial, it serves as an effective alternative. In strong currents, we can secure the pipe at intervals using saddle clamps or pins. It combines rigidity with toughness, withstanding mechanical impact, heavy pressure, and subsidence damage — while offering a cost advantage over traditional metal solutions.

Key strengths

  • Limited flexibility: Adapts to seabed undulations, spans overhangs, conforms to complex terrain
  • Rigidity & toughness: Withstands impact, heavy pressure, and subsidence damage
  • High strength & durability: In-house designed, meets international standards, rigorously tested
  • Cost advantage: Lower overall cost vs. metal alternatives, high cost-performance

Design Features

  • Split-body structure: No special construction equipment required, easy on-site installation.
  • Versatile applications: Suitable for coastlines, tidal flats, shallow water, splash zones, rocky seabeds — hard seabed areas where burial is not possible.
  • Anti-current anchoring: Can be secured at intervals using saddle clamps or pins in strong current areas.

Sizes can be customized to accommodate various cable diameters and minimum bend radius requirements.

We offer flexible packaging options for our ductile iron articulated pipes: fumigation‑free plywood cases, pallets, or ton bags.
For optimal protection, products must be stored indoors in a dry, rain‑proof environment, away from moisture.
