Ductile Iron Articulated Pipes

At the connection point between flexible pipes, umbilicals, or cables and a rigid structure, movement during operation or forces from installation and recovery can cause bending failure. The bend restrictor provides mechanical protection to limit the bending angle, preventing excessive bending and buckling. The system consists of multiple interlocking elements forming a semi-rigid structure. Under static or quasi-static conditions and within specified design loads, it ensures that the bend radius of submarine cables, umbilicals, risers, or pipelines of any diameter never falls below the minimum bend radius (MBR)

Key strengths
Bend radius control: Interlocking elements form a semi-rigid structure, ensuring bend radius ≥ MBR and preventing local buckling
Lightweight design: Low weight in water reduces additional load on pipes or cables
High durability: Engineered for harsh marine environments with long-term reliability
Interface adaptability: Can be equipped with end fittings for easy connection to rigid structures

Design Features
Split-body structure: Two-piece snap-fit design for efficient onshore and offshore installation
Typical applications: Connection points between flexible pipes and rigid structures, umbilical terminations, wellhead connectors, dynamic cables, and riser bend protection.

Sizes can be customized to accommodate various cable diameters and minimum bend radius requirements.

Packaging and Storage

Our WT-Pipe is a self-locking articulated pipe consisting of two identical half-shells, featuring a compact structure and a variety of designs to choose from. The articulated pipe is manufactured from ductile iron, offering corrosion resistance and high mechanical strength.
